I live in an apartment, with the authority to make minor modifications, and I am wondering whether there are any fairly low-effort passive solar design elements that I can incorporate. Any ideas?
- Feel free to suggest other alternatives that achieve a similar effect.
- My understanding is pretty limited, but I was thinking of things like putting a big stack of black bricks opposite all of my windows, etc.
- As far as I know, maybe the canonical passive solar design elements have so much synergy that it's pointless for me to go "partway"; not sure.
- My cost threshold would be the cost of installing a heat pump system to substitute most of my current baseboard heating (assuming I can get my landlord to agree to that work).
